Farming for CBD
Those of you following my blog know that I have had a couple different opportunities to get myself in the healing hemp game. After investigating all of my options, I have opted for what I feel will be the best way to get a hands on learning experience of the entire hemp industry. As of Saturday, August 12 I have packed up myself and my business and moved to Fort Collins, CO where I will be living and working on a research based, workers cooperative, organic hemp farm! Yes, I am adding “Hemp Farmer” to my resume.
So why do I feel this is a good idea? Well, Lichen Livin is a Lifestyle Wellness & Healing business and CBD, although still very controversial with unclear legal boundaries, is proving to have amazing healing qualities. Our bodies are meant to receive CBD, we (all mammals, so yes, your pets) have an entire system in our bodies (endocannabinoid system) that is responsible for creating homeostasis. CBD is literally the “key” to calming our nervous system so our bodies are able to heal. I firmly believe CBD is going to be the healing medicine of the future and I am committed to learning everything about it so I can share with you; my clients, friends, and family.
For those of you unfamiliar with CBD (cannabidiol) it is the non-psychoactive compound found in the hemp plant. (so it does not get you “high”) It was first recognized nationally with it’s remarkable effects on calming seizures and since has been found to improve many other diseases and disorders, one major one being cancer. I invite you to check out my website, www.lichenlivin.com to learn more about the farm and the product that I will be working with.
I am absolutely thrilled and honored that I was accepted as the farms newest “Intern”, and am SO looking forward to sharing everything I learn with you guys and hopefully get you hooked up with some oil to help you in your healing journey.
